General Safety Warnings
Speed
Never exceed the maximum operating speed (RPM) marked on the product. Excessive speed can cause the abrasive wheel to shatter suddenly.
Guards
Use only on machines with properly adjusted safety guards. All abrasive wheels are breakable, and guards prevent serious injuries.
Mounting
Use only the correct mounting system for the abrasive wheel. Test newly mounted wheels by running them for one minute in an enclosed area before use.
PPE
Always wear required personal protective equipment: safety glasses, face shield, hearing protection, respiratory protection, gloves, aprons, and safety shoes.
Storage Guidelines
- Store wheels in a dry area, away from excessive heat, cold, water, oil, or moisture.
- Handle carefully. Avoid dropping or bumping.
- Store wheels in racks or bins with dividers for different types.
- Visually inspect wheels for damage before each use.
- Perform the "ring test" to check for cracks: tap gently with a non-metallic tool; an undamaged wheel produces a clear metallic ring sound.
